Brevard County is home to more than 2,000 construction companies, with both residential and commercial development steady, creating a robust job market. According to the Daytona Beach News Journal, Volusia County construction jobs are also in high demand with an increase of 10 percent in building permits and a pace to reach its strongest year since 2005. The 10 percent increase was the 23rd biggest jump in construction employment in the nation, according to a report earlier this year by the Associated General Contractors of America.
