You may be eligible for PRIORITY OF SERVICE. This gives Veterans and covered persons the ability to take precedence over non-covered persons in obtaining employment and training services. Taking precedence can mean you receive access to workforce services before non-covered persons, or, if workforce services are limited, covered persons receive access to workforce services instead of non-eligible persons.

3 Easy Steps To Get Started

Registration

  • A career advisor will instruct you on the registration process.
  • You’ll be asked to enter your employment history, job skills, salary and personal desires into the statewide Employ Florida information system, where you can search for employment, create a resume, access job skills and investigate careers.

Work Search

  • We assist with resume and letter writing.
  • We provide information on specific employers and industries as well as help conduct state and national job searches.

On-Site Resources

  • Resource rooms provide video and print libraries on many employment topics.
  • Access computers, scanners, fax machines.
  • Get guidance from a dedicated staff member to assist you and answer questions.
  • Find out about learning events and on-site recruitment fairs for veterans. Check out the calendar below for these no-cost events.

READJUSTMENT COUNSELING SERVICES

The Veterans Center (321-254-3410) is a local resource that welcomes home war veterans by providing quality readjustment services to veterans and their families.
