  • Develop opportunities to meet with employers who are committed to hiring people with disabilities.

Your Ticket To Work

The Social Security Administration’s Ticket to Work Program is designed to help SSI/SSDI beneficiaries from 8 to 64 years of age receive employment services and work without affecting Social Security or disability benefits.

This is a voluntary program that increases the employment opportunities of Social Security’s disability beneficiaries and is provided at no cost to you.

The Ticket to Work program is designed to increase the income and self-sufficiency of persons with disabilities, by connecting you with employment service providers (known as Employment Networks) to achieve individual work goals. Through Ticket to Work, you can:

  • Work and maintain your benefits
  • Receive protection from the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) Continuing Disability Reviews (CDR)
  • Determine if work is right for you. If you are unable to maintain employment, you can request an “Expedited Reinstatement” of benefits.
  • Receive resume assistance
  • Receive training and education
  • Gain the satisfaction of competitive employment
  • Gain access to other community resources to meet your needs
