CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia receives grant funding to address training needs in critical employment sectors that offer job satisfaction, stability and growth. When grant funding is available, individuals interested in careers in these high-demand fields can take classes, earn certifications and participate in on-the-job training through apprenticeships. Through the Florida Atlantic Workforce Alliance (FAWA), candidates can explore career paths in aerospace/aviation, advanced manufacturing and information technology/cybersecurity.
Program lengths and start dates vary. Eligibility is based on household income and/or employment at time of application.

The focus of the Florida Atlantic Workforce Alliance (FAWA) is aligning efforts in the region to ensure the workforce pipeline meets the talent demands by employers in high-demand industry sectors. In 2022, Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis announced nearly $30 million in strategic investments to develop the workforce with job-ready candidates in high-demand industries from Flagler to Martin Counties through FAWA.
This alliance calls on employers, educators, economic development and community stakeholders to boost the technical workforce to meet the growing demands for talent. Never has workforce development been as important to the success of businesses and regional economic prosperity as it is today.
