Think of OJT as paid training and an inside opportunity to build your skills, develop relationships with peers and learn on the job. This is hands-on training with experts inside your company to mentor you and gain new skills aligned to your occupational interests.

Think of Work Experience as a paid internship, advancing your practical skills in a real world workplace that makes you more marketable. This is a temporary paid position that gives you skills in a field you have been interested in, but don’t yet have the experience. You’ll improve your skills and prepare for the next step in your employment journey.
