Job SeekersTraining – Soft Skills Training

Be Ready to Work with Essential Soft Skills

You may be seeking employment for the first time, returning to the workforce after an absence, or seeking to change your career.

Make sure you have essential skills sought after by employers including conveying professionalism, communicating effectively, promoting teamwork and solving problems with critical thinking. Exhibiting these skills gives employers confidence that you are ready to join their workforce. This training program is designed to not only improve your soft skills but to help you succeed at your next interview.

Prove You're Ready with an Essential Soft Skill Credential

At CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia, we have the Florida Ready to Work e-Learning program that is nationally recognized and competency-based. The job seeker can earn two credentials: an Essential Soft Skills credential, which certifies they have the skills and work habits necessary to succeed in today’s rapidly changing and competitive economy, or the Ready to Work credential that validates the academic skills that matter to employers.

What Does the Soft Skills Coursework Include?

Soft skills training is effective for your career, but these skills can last a lifetime. The coursework can be completed online or blended instruction is offered at any of the career centers and consists of four modules that address each of the soft skills.

What Does Ready to Work Involve?

Skills measured in the Ready to Work modules are applied math, reading for information, and locating information. You may think you already have the foundational skills employers want, but competition for jobs is strong. Taking a closer look at your readiness is smart planning and gives you the confidence you need to hit the ground running.
